Description 

The second buttress West of Wendell Spire holds three routes. Pit Viper runs up the middle. (NB: Perhaps Tom Hanson can clarify. Sidewinder and Pit Viper names seem switched to me. Thus the description for Sidewinder may be the correct one for this route.) Thin moves, long reaches through aligator skin characterize the climbing. For CWC, the rock on Pit Viper is pretty darn good and the climbing is challenging enough to keep one's attention right to the anchor. Regardless of the naming, this line offers no opportunity to stem off the crux.
