ben starting the west face problem.

Description

On the West face of Phallic Rock is this fine problem. The start to the left of the crack. The first move is a long reach or dyno to the shallow, positive pocket. Good holds up high but topping out will get your attention. The problem is on the face you can't see to the left of this pic.

Protection

Crashpad helpful as problem is highball.

Fun, fun fun fun fun, and if your 5'8", hard enough. How come I never see any one else climbing on this rock? One day I saw two top-ropers trying it out, but so far I'm the only one here, come on, somebody, gimme some company...

People don't spend a lot of time here, because it is chossy, terrible downclimb, and directly on the middle of the trail where tons of people pass by and ask you what your crash pad is. Keep walking into the canyon and head up the right side, there are tons of great boulders.
