Description

The Corp. Walls are a shady spot on the South Rim with two good sport routes and some topropes. All the routes here have a nice length and are in a good location (ie away from crowds and good shade on a hot day).

Getting There

The cliff is located just below the power lines that cross the canyon from the North Rim to the South Rim. The cliffs may be approached from the bottom (creekside) or top of the cliff. From the S. park entrance, park at the last parking lot to the north and take the Lake Gulch Trail. After a while, look for the power lines and start cutting through a field, over to the cliff edge. The Corp. Walls acutally face mostly east, so locate some bolts and rap down, or set up a TR on of of the lines.

To approach from the creek, hike N. until you can see the cliffs near the powerline. An easy crossing on some boulders is nearly below the cliff. Scramble up some steep terrain to the bottom.
