Description

Ripple Wall is a 125 foot cliff on the east side of the Red Rocks Canyon Open Space. It's made entirely of sandstone, and has about 11 well-routed sport climbs. The belay can stand just off the trail on almost all of the routes. While it's rarely windy in Red Rocks Canyon, rain does make the sand stone gritty, so just be aware. Being the eastern face, there is a lot of sun after noon; however on good, cooler days, it is awesome climbing.

Getting There

Follow the main trail going through Red Rocks; Ripple wall lies just south of Sayer's Wall.

Baja Ha Ha 5.11a  CO : Colorado Springs : ... : Ripple Wall
This is one of my favorite routes at Red Rocks. The climb is in between The Ripple Effect and High H2O. Shorter folks will start on top of the blocks below and left of the first chalked holds. Taller folks can probably just pull off the holds directly from the ground. Climb up past the flakes and about 5 bolts to a steep and thinner crux move. This crux move was a bit of a reach for me, but well protected. Gain a b...[more]   Browse More Classics in CO
