Looking up the approach at the route prior to the ...

Description

A fun, adventurous moderate. Gets a lot of sun so not often in. Has a great alpine feel for relatively little effort.

Climb the rock just left of the corner on small gear to ledge. Enter chimney and climb manky moderate ice to top. Belay at end of difficulties and rap from slung horn on right wall.

Location

From the Big Meadows road across from the First Tier look to the right (East) of the large gully on the right side of the Lower and Upper Tiers. About level with the Upper Tier you will see a rock buttress with an obvious gully that contains ice in some years. Make your way to its base.

Protection

A little of everything, even a screw or two.
