Description

Good moderate ice climbing area easily accessible from the town of Telluride (15-20 minute hike). Cornet Falls is in good in winter when temperatures are cold. However, because it is in direct sunlight most of the day, Cornet Falls can melt out quickly during warm weather.

Getting There

Take Aspen Street north from the town of Telluride two blocks to a parking area. A trail (the Judd Wiebe trail) begins here and crosses a bridge. Before crossing the bridge, a trail heads to the right. Take this trail 15-20 minutes to Cornet Falls in a beautiful ampitheater.
