Freed Canyon is located to the north of the Haflin Creek climbs. This is another waterfall ice climb that forms on the east side of the Animas River. Close to town, a short approach, and the most consistent ice in the area, make this a popular location.
Getting There
About 1.25 miles north of Trimble Lane on CR 250. Find a pullout that is not on private property and does not block the roadway. Try to be respectful of the local land owners.
