Description
Rap or hike to base of climbs on south side of canyon, immediately below Cascade Creek's lower pool (see photo of Jen). Many choices for ice and mixed. Easiest being obious gully just climber's right of center. Rap shelf above climbs offers relatively easy TR placement....just watch your step. There is a steep hike out just east, or downstream, of these climbs (on the south side) that tops ou near the anchors.
Protection
A few screws for routes up to~60ft.Quick draws for bolts.
The photo in the route description section shows what _was_ the main flow in March of 2004 (see action photo below). The flow to the right of it had not touched down all season. The other flow shown below from March 2004 was farthest right.
Thanks Theo. The area along the tall cliff band on the south side of the canyon, at the foot of the lower pool, is really what I meant when I wrote "Main Flows". This includes all of what is pictured up to this point. Cheers....Eddy
Ok! I get it. In that case, the first picture that I posted below should read "Main Flow, March 2004, WI2-3", and the second should read "Far Left Major Flow, March 2004, WI4(?) TR or M?? on lead for the ten feet above the pillar". Thanks.
Yea...I don't know if these flows have names. They form regularly and are consistent in their difficulty and morphology. I was just refering to this section as "Main Flows" to distinguish them from the mixed stuff on the north side of the canyon. Cheers.
