This is a bit of a conundrum. Which falls is the real Helen Hunt Falls? The C. Burns' guidebook suggest that it is somewhere up a bit.
Burns' description "There are several parking areas on both sides of the road. A short, well-built trail leads several hundred yards south, up to Helen Hunt Falls. Helen Hun Falls is, basically, a wide, 250-foot rock slab down which a small creek trickles into a small valley. The falls don't freeze entirely and are of little interest to ice climbers except during very cold periods. Before you reach Helen Hunt Fals (at a point about halfway between the parking lot and Helen Hunt Falls) the trail crests a low ridge and makes a sharp right turn. At this point, Helen Hunt Falls will be visible to the right. Silver Cascades will be visible directly ahead, throught he tress across the small valley that contains the creek draining Helen Hunt Falls." The Colorado Springs' map suggests that it is the small water fall near the road. The old guide suggests that it is the falls under the trail. So, which one is it?
If it is the small falls next to the road, the ice build up can shorten this into a 12-15 foot romp/ice bouldering WI1+ that may not be worth the effort. If it is something else, it may be worth the effort.

From the north, I-25 to US 24 west, to 21st St/Crest south to Cheyenne Canyon W to the right fork 2 1/2 miles to the sign for Helen Hunt Falls. Map.
