Description

The short falls are about 80 degrees and very featured, so the feet are good. Toprope from the large boulder about 15ft back from the edge. Another, smaller boulder near the edge can be used also.

The falls are fun and sorta cool to do just cause they're there. But don't make a trip out here just to climb the falls. With warmer weather, the ice is quite unstable and could be dangerous--use good judgement.

Protection

A lead would be difficult since it starts above the water--not impossible, but easier to toprope.

Toprope Protection

Very long slings and a number 8 or 9 hex makes a good directional.

For those who are really desperate for 15 feet of WI2+, Cherry Creek Falls is in. Best to tackle early in the am. Bring your hip waders, it starts in 8 inches of fish smelling water/mud. Enjoy!

About noon on Monday the 18th, the ice made a spectacular plunge in to the pool below. Luckly, at the time, I was on a much more stable ajdacent route.
