Description

This is the first route you encounter on the righthand side of The Dark Side when coming down the road from The Bank campground. Very unique compared to other Shelf Road routes. Holds reminence of New River Gorge sandstone in some areas. You won't find a lot of pockets here.

Good holds with two fun roofs. The second roof is the crux. Although this may only have 4 bolts its got protection where you need it. The foot holds when pulling the second roof down low can feel pretty slick.

Protection

4 bolts w/ a 2 bolt anchor.

Couple of long moves on big holds. Despite a fragile looking second roof, all of the jugs I ended up using seemed fine. Great route!

Fun roofs on jugs with smaller holds above the 2nd roof. This was my first 5.11 route, I thought it was a lot of fun.
