Description 

This is a great climb in a remote area of Shelf Road, with a rather unorthodox approach. If your looking for a bit of solitude at Shelf, then Abcessed is a good route with fun pockets on beautiful stone. This route is actually on the Phenomology Wall. Access can be obtained by first hiking out to the Menses Prow. Then find and take a trail that leads you (south) from the Menses Wall to the Dark Side. When you reach the bottom of the dried-out creek head right or west following the creek for about a half of a mile. "Abcessed" will be on your right. It is on a south-facing wall, with 2 other climbs. It is the middle climb on the
