Incredible sequential problem to a sketchy top out. Excellent layback moves on thin edges, all overhanging. Possibly the most fun problem in the valley....[more]
Incredible area! If you're looking for a new place to boulder in Buena Vista, this is the place. It also has 3 or 4 possibilities of first ascents. Even an arete that could be in excess of V8. Make sure to bring a pad, for the landings can be pretty bad.
Yeah, I sent Instant Karma and Goonies. I figured out the moves on Angel Fire, but got shut down trying to put it together. I'll go back and get it tomorrow. Did you see the other one we completely missed! It's a very unique problem.
Well, if they feel easier, feel free to downgrade the problems. I know Instant Karma I did while we were both very tired. Just let me know what you think the grades were. And yeah, I saw a pic of that problem, looked nice! Was it new beta that got you to the top of Instant Karma?
Turtle Rock has several boulders strewn around the base on the south-east, east and north-east of the rock. They are good but watch for broken glass in the area. The first gully south is called American Gully with lots of lines to choose from. The next is called Wall Street Gully with a few more problems. Next is the Sunshine Wall, so named because it faces south and is great to boulder on in the winter, this has at least 8 lines to choose from though some are high. The next big blob of rock is South Turtle Rock with several on the south-west side. Come on out and play, there are so many to choose from you may want to stay several days, bring spare skin for your fingers.
