The largest boulder in this area. It also offers some good lines. The landings are awesome and there are also some good views of the Collegiate peaks. A worthy boulder to climb if you're in the area.
Getting There
From the US Highway 24 and 285 intersection (just south of Buena Vista), go south and look for Chaffe County Road 301 on the left hand side of the road. Turn onto 300 and go for a half mile and turn right on to Chaffe County Road 301 (easier than it sounds.) Drive on this for a couple of miles until you can see the Buena boulder on the left side by a large dead tree. Please respect private property. There are also many other smaller boulders here.
Andrew says to look for Chaffe county road 301 after making the turn at the intersection of 24 and 285. This is confusing since there IS no county road 301 south of the intersection. Just look for county road 300 and turn left onto it. The rest of the directions are correct. Now that I've given you easier directions, the boulder is pretty weak and not really worth driving too. There was however some great looking 50-70ft crack climbs about 500 yards north of the Buena Boulder. Several parties were on them. We just weren't sure how to get over there without going on private property.
