Description 

Granite/Quartzite. Roadside crag with a dozen or so routes up to 2 pitches (~120'). Sport, TRAD, Mixed and TR possibilities.


Getting There 

Just below/west of the Oterro Pumphouse. 30 sec. approach. ~10 minute drive north of Buena Vista on CR-371 next to the Arkansas River.

Supposedly closed to climbing for archeological reasons. Anyone know anything about this? I think it's for commercial parties only, go figure.

1st I've heard of a "closure"? Several Valley guides take clients there pretty often, so maybe we can check with them?

The routes that are closed, but not posted, are the south-facing (2 5.7s , 5.9 and 5.6 routes). I'd love to give you more info on this site. Call the BLM 719-539-7289.
