Stephen Nance on the first ascent of Sorrowful Jou...

Description

Agnes Falls trail head up Chalk Creek Canyon, just outside of BV, go up past the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, and past Mt. Princeton campground. The pull out is just to the right of Chalk Creek campground, if you go over a bridge or see a lake on your left, you've gone to far. BOMBER granite, tall problems, classic slab problems, and another classic dihedral. SECLUDED.

Getting There

Hike up around 100-150 yds, and you will see it through the trees on your left.

I like this boulder...its high and has lots of variety, from slab on the front to straight vertical and slight overhung on the back. Well worth a visit.
