You might think they are scary but in reality they are about as good as any bolt of that diameter. You can see there is little to no corrosion so the bolts are fine. They are usually screwed into a sleeve that is 1-2inches into the rock. If the rock is good the anchors are good. We used a lot of those for a while. You have probably fallen on them and not realized it. The biggest problem is that with so few threads 6-10 in the sleeve they need to be kept tight or they can unscrew pretty quickly.
