Subject to Shadow Canyon Closures MORE INFO >>>

Description

A series of west-facing crags which lies below 'The Pyramid.' A series of several crags lie below the summit ridge. While most of the routes potential here appeared to be uncleaned and unexplored, there is at least one good line with fixed pins, clearly indicating some historical passage.
The cliffs run from the left-most, directly below the Pyramid, then running to the right in a series of walls, slabs, and spires.
The walls receive light from mid-morning in late fall, and keep it until the sun goes back behind the foothills. The rock is generally good, but relatively untraveled, so beware of loose rock and other potential hazards.

Getting There

Hike up Shadow Canyon as for the Devil's Thumb or the Pyramid. As you progress north, keep a keen eye out for the pyramid. As it comes into view directly East of you, then head up across a talus field for about 10 minutes, targeting a broad cliff on the left below the pyramid. This is the left end of Saqqara. To access the climbs to the right, follow the cliff base to the South from there.
