Description

This crag lies below Boulder Falls and to the right, across the creek and up the hill. It is about 100 yds. up and right of the area called Boulder Falls East in Rossiter's Boulder Canyon guidebook. It is actually the south side of Chrome Dome, but is listed separately because it is accessed from below Boulder Falls, not above.

Three 5.11 sport routes have been established here in the past few years by Vaino Kodas, Bob D'Antonio, and Moe Hershoff.

L->R:

A. Prodigal Summer, 11, 1p, 90', bolts.
B. Crocodile Smile, 11+, 1p, 80', bolts.
C. Doctor Patient, 11, 1p, 60', bolts.

Getting There

From the Boulder Falls parking area, cross the highway and drop down the steps leading to Boulder Falls. After about 50 yds cross Boulder Creek and head right up the second, steep gully when facing east. Halfway up the gully look for three bolted routes on the left starting on a ledge 40 feet off the ground (scramble in from the right).

See photo.
