Description

Griffon goes up the left side of Trout Rock, just right of the left-facing corner "Where's Vaino?".

Climb steep rock to an overhang at the third bolt. Surmount the overhang (crux), place a green Alien in a finger crack to the right, and continue to the 2-bolt anchor.

Protection

3 bolts and a green Alien (.5"-.8" cam) placement after the third bolt. 2-bolt anchor.

There is now a 2-bolt anchor that can be used for both The Griffon and Where's Vaino.

The best route on the rock by virtue of the interesting and unique moves; a measured compliment. If you could put all 4 routes end-to-end, you'd have something long enough to consider a long pitch of rock. Worth doing if you are there, and hardly a long approach.
