Larger version of same pic - Jon Sakai on Hesitati...

Description

This is the third crack from the left. I have seen this climb rated 5.9 (Rossiter) and 5.10a (Rolofson). The group I went with couldn't agree, 'cause the start is thinner than Catalyst (5.9), but not as slick on the feet. I would say about the same. Anyhow, straightforward line, fingercrack to start with, then face or crack above that.

Protection

Small to midsize (#2 Friend). Also very easy TR.

Great climb - I love this cliff...have only toproped, but it looks great for trad also. Three great cracks and lots of varied face climbing above. I submitted a pic with the four cracks numbered and a larger version of the same (147,148).

Great Lead. Scary and thought provoking. Bring small to medium stoppers for the finger crack. Place your gear and move quickly.
