Lake City Ice Festival

Just wanted to let everyone on this site know that the 2nd annual Lake City Ice Festival will be held on February 28th. More details can be found at www.lakecityiceclimbs.com. There will be timed top-rope and lead events. Entry is $15, and things get started at noon (sign in starts at 10 a.m.). There will be some great prizes, like a dry rope, express screws, quick draws, etc.

Later that evening, we will be having a dinner and beers at the Black Crooke Theater at 3rd and Silver. There will also be a movie and some music.

I'm definitely gonna head that way, Lake City is a beautiful area. It's right in my backyard, although getting to Lake City takes a while due to that pesky Weimunuche Wilderness. Climb on!!

I will be heading that way, too. Hopefully I will get a chance to climb maybe even compete. I think this is much smaller than the Ouray event. Any tips on a close camp?
