Pretty cool to finally see a problem like this fall to two people in the same day...must have been an extra high gravity day, but judging by the videos, these guys have earned it, nice work Jamie and Carlo. Its gonna be interesting to get Holloway's take on these ascents, especially if they slap a grade on it.

I was actually in Boulder for the day on the 13th and gave this a try while playing around on the UCT. There was a lot of fresh chalk on it and people had obviously been working on it recently.

Since boulder problems are very short, I'm wondering how big of a difference it is if a problem is done via the left hand or right hand variation. From my understanding, the versions of Trice recently repeated went left hand to the pocket, then basically a jump to the rail (very hard - not in my league at all). However, from the photos and the interview with Holloway, I thought he went right hand to the pocket, then left hand to a small crimp, then to the rail.

So, did Trice get repeated? Or are these just variations of the same problem? On routes, such a triviality would not matter. But on a 3 move problem, I would think it would make a difference.

Props to Jamie and Carlo - I know both and respect them very much... I don't doubt what they did at all, simply a question.

Well, never mind, I just watched the video of Carlo doing it on frontrangebouldering.com. Very cool! Is this the 2nd or 3rd ascent? Nice!
