Hi all you friends of Concrete Couch,
Just because we love to showcase the totally CREATIVE and amazing work of our Concrete Couch supporters, i thought id let you know about this showing.
Its a film made by our two friends John Catto and Allen Hill, and it highlights the life and relationships of chech (is there a "z" in there?) climbers and tower jumpers...its MORE than a film about wild outdoor enthusiasts, delves into some amazingly charismatic individuals, their roots in the second world war, modern influences, comaraderie...i think anyone would find LOTS fascinating and interesting in it (its not rated, but ages 12 and up wouldnt be bored...)
The film is being shown at BEMIS hall at COLORADO COLLEGE, October 2, at 7pm, FREE.
Concrete Couch is a non-profit community arts organization created by Manitou Springs Artist, dirt-bag rock climber, and Colorado College graduate Steven J. Wood. You can check out some of the really cool work they are doing at http://www.concretecouch.org
