National Park Passes On The Rise
Submitted By: John McNamee on Dec 12, 2006
Looks like the $50.00 Annual Park Pass is a thing of the past with NPS advertising that they are going to be no longer available next year. The Pass which now includes the Golden Eagle stamp is now scheduled to cost $80.00.
NPS Press Release
If I'm reading this correctly the new pass covers the National Park Service as well as other federal lands.Unfortunately, for those that just want a pass for RMNP you're out of luck and will have to fork out an extra 30 dollars. Hopefully that increase in cost will go straight back to the actual Park's themselves.

| With the cost of the 7-day pass for Rocky Mountain National Park, one sigle park, running $20 now, I'll still saves a few hundred a year. |

| If I'm not mistaken, can't you still get the annual pass to just RMNP for $35? I don't think that this new "interagency" program puts the kibosh on existing programs within national parks.
But then again, I could be totally wrong... |
