Access to 14ers behind Alma (Mt Democrat, etc)

I heard a snippet on the radio this morning that the town of Alma has sorted out access to the 14ers by creating a new law to limit how much the town can be sued! It sounded like access will be in place either at the end of this year or early next year. If anyone has details please post the links as I'm sure a lot of people would like to know

Update: I might of been jumping the gun on this. I found an article in the Denverpost that doesn't paint the picture as rosy.

Oh those access issues....
In the long run, I think access will be sorted out around Alma, and the other 14ers. I guess I do not blame the land owners, there are loads of open shafts around the area, and loads of folk who wander of the trail; however, access must be allowed to those magnificent peaks. It is just a fine balance between them and us.
In the meanwhile, JOIN THE ACCESS FUND! They are our true legal backing on all access issues.
