Hello,

My name is Tyler Weller and I am currently a junior enrolled in the Mountain Recreation Management degree at Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont. I am currently taking a Research and Evaluation class for a graduation requirement and am collecting data for a research paper about the usage of online climbing resources and its relationship with climber satisfaction. If you have time, participation in the short questionnaire would be greatly appreciated as well as passing it along to someone else you may think will provide quality information to the study. The link to the questionnaire is provided below.

Thanks

Would be interested to see what you find. If you don't mind posting up the results once you've wrapped up.
cheers

Are your results confounded, since you are posting the survey on MP?

In other words, how are you going to find the climbers who don't use online resources? Are you going to station yourself at a climbing area? Or what?

also a lot of us started climbing after online resources became a thing (or at least I did, maybe I am a youngin). given that I found it difficult to answer those questions about whether online resources have improved my experience relative to before / other resources. Make sure you filter appropriately when doing analysis to avoid those issues. :)

Mountain Project is not the only way that I am spreading the questionnaire, and I also tried to provide questions to help understand the variances in everybody's climbing backgrounds. Thank you everyone though for the feedback and support!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
