I'm considering camping/climbing in the Southfork Nov 9 - 16th. Are ice routes typically in that early or am I jumping the gun? Dave Lynch

Carter Mountain might be in,

Best to e-mail Aaron directly for conditions.........

The web-post condition reports are not usually updated regularly.....

Or you can do what we've always done, just go and find out.....

Like Jim said, Carter mountain and the several routes up there should be climbable. The north facing stuff in the valley should be forming but it would be questionable if they would be "in". It has been a cold and wet fall here though, things are on track to be a good year for ice in the south fork. JonBates
