I'd like to go climbing and trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas April and May but need a buddy or buddies. I have a friend living in Mussoorie, India (northeast of Delhi) who we can crash with when we're not out wandering around. I have a trad rack and my own backpacking gear. You would just need your personal climbing equipment (harness, shoes, chalk bag, etc.) and your own backpacking/camping gear. I have a jet boil that we can both use for coffee and soup. Feel free to post questions, comments or advice here or email/IM me. Hopefully soon before ticket prices start getting expensive.

About me: I'm in Chile right now heading down to Patagonia to climb and trek. Trying to line up my next adventure once the season ends down here. I lead trad:5.8/5.9/5.10(maybe) and sport:5.10/5.11(depending on the area). I have about 4-5 years of climbing experience, including a little over a year of more concerted experience (daily/weekly cilmbing).

Hi Shawn - not to spam your post, but you could post your request on trekking partners as well, it's targeted specifically for finding partners in the Himalaya.

Hi Alex, Thanks for the reply. I guess i'm more interested in climbing than trekking. But finding good climbing might require some trekking.

Hi Shawn - you can post for climbing partners as well actually, although the name might not indicate that :)
