| Anyone used any Macpac gear? In particular, Macpac sleeping bags. I'm considering the Sanctuary 900XP. I'll appreciate any thoughts on the company, their products, and sleeping bags if you've used them. | |

| Macpac is tough to find in the US, but Neptune's carrys some of their packs. I managed to lay hands on a second-hand 55 liter pack and it's been my main alpine and winter pack for two seasons now (Pursuit, I think). I can't say enough good things about it. I'd be curious to see what their sleeping bags and tents are like as well. | |

| I grew up with macpac and have used their gear in the mountains since the early 80's. The stuff is well designed, throughly tested and bombproof to boot. You won't be disappointed. | |

| OK, this is a bit late, but....I have a Sanctuary 700. The thing is amazing and I love it. I have taken it mostly on backpacking trips in the Sierra and on the coast. It is light and super warm with nice ventilation features. I had a Sierra designs synthetic bag before, this one is a step up. | |

| If you are an outdoor professional of some sort... (i.e., guide or work at a climbing gym) you can join Outdoor Prolink. They provide pro deals on climbing, kayaking, and other general outdoor gear. It's awesome and worth joining. The main limitation is that you can only purchase gear for yourself.
Check it out at:

Anyways, they have an excellent selection of MacPac gear. | |
