I was just researching ski pants and found this site:

gearbuyer.com -- look for the "Price History" button on the right side of the page for individual items.

It's got a cool little feature that gives you the history of prices for any given item sold online that they track. On higher end items I always wonder if I'm getting a good deal or not; it looks like this is an easy way to find out.

And you can have it send you an alert when an item gets to X price or is reduced by X amount.

I just thought I'd pass it along.
