| Rockfall has damaged my rope and I'm looking for a burly, bomber rope. Anyone used the Edelweiss Sharp ropes? They're supposed to be really tough. | FLAG |

| I have one, I can't attest to the durability because I got it about a month ago.It handels quite nicely, and I'm pleased with it so far. | FLAG |

| thanks. Iknow they're a little heavier but I kind of want something burly anyway. | FLAG |

| I've got a couple of the Sharp half ropes, and I've been really happy with them.
The only minor complaint I have is that they don't have a middle mark. Not a huge deal when dealing with half ropes, but it might be more of an issue with a single. Mine are a few years old -- they may have added a mark since then. | FLAG |

| There is no middle mark on the 10.5mm, however it does come in a bi-pattern. | FLAG |

| I have the 10.5 Bi Pattern 70m and it is a burly rope. By burly I mean super durable and heavy. I really like it though. It handles wells and I have had mine for two years as a main line and it is holding up well. I'm in the market for a new rope, but only becuause I would like a lighter sport rope for the mountains. If you want burly this is a good rope. | FLAG |

My neighbor ran over my shoe. Can anyone recommend a new brand. Just a joke. Maybe since the rope didn't sever, your should stick with that brand. You did say rockfall, didn't you? | FLAG |

| Edelweiss = twisty. And yes, I uncoiled it correctly.
My 70m 9.9mm rope has held up fairly well, I think it was the onsite. The sharp is gonna be heavy, but you knew that.
Greg D, perhaps you should refrain from posting until you can get your reading comprehension problem under control or refrain unless you have something worthwhile to add. Dumbass. | FLAG |

| I have an ed 9.6 70 meter. It has been a horrible rope! I have had it for 3 months and it looks like it is years old. When I grab it to go climbing I am quite afraid to look down at the frayed sheath. I will retire it soon, after only a few months!
who knows, maybe i got the "one rope" that was bad from ed but i wont buy an ed rope again. | FLAG |

Now that wasn't very nice now was it. The point I was trying to make was rockfall will damage pretty much any rope and should be avoided at all cost. Yes, some sheaths may be tougher than others. But, he didn't mention what rope is was. The fact that his rope got damaged and he lived to tell about it may attest to the resiliency of the rope he currently had. Comprehend? | FLAG |
