night time, november projecting.... a little obsessive.

So I can't believe i've gone this long with out really knowing how to dispose of my used propane tanks. I know that some can be recycled, but didn't know how to do so. I've also heard of large fines for incorrectly doing so.

My biggest concern is the coleman pound tanks, pre green tab thingy, but also would like to hear imput on msr, and other similar cannisters.

Buy a fifteen pounder and get it refilled when empty. No waste... no worries.

Actually learned this at my work today. When they are used up (make sure they are), poke a hole, empty out residual fuel and then recycle.

A happy day in the snow. Bart and Lisa had a hard time standing still for the photo.

Coleman makes these "Green Key" tools which are essentially bleed valves, ensuring the tank is fully empty so it can be recycled.

Suggest .357 or .44 mag. If there half full, duck. Next to a good camp fire works gives added benefit. Experience gain complements of The Marlboro Adventure Team time off with nothing else to do. Oh yes, please recycle the schrapnel.
