Icy south early winter spire

I am in the market for some new climbing shoes, this last pair of montrails were crap lasted less than a year but they were only $35 a pair and I have to buy to pairs.

Anyone know of any manufactures who sell different sizes individually as my left and right foot differ by a whole US size. Or do I just have to go back to wearing a couple socks on the small foot? (It sucks) I am not going to buy the cheap special again just to get two different sizes reasonable as they were a poor design and fell apart...

I also wouldn't mind your opinions on the best all around shoe in case I do want to buy to sizes, I climb sport, crack, multi pitch, hardest climbs being in the 5.10 range, etc. But I use my aproach shoes for anything up to around 5.6-7.

I don't know where you are located since you haven't filled out your profile, but I believe Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder will sell two different sized shoes.

Yeah I am located all over, why I don't have a location listed, I spend summers in WA or CO or AZ and school in MO, wniters where ever I feel like. I will check into Neptunes probably, I am already heading that way for springbreak to climb in CO and get some custom liners for my mountaineering boots (to fix the size problem). Probably going to Neptune Mountaineering anyways for those. John, have you ever used Acopa's or know someone? Thanks for the input I will deffinatly check, Five Ten and LaSportiva told me they didn't do that so I figured no one did but this is awesome news!

Chuck Bird at Neptune will set you up right, he made me some custom insoles for my boots and they are great. You should set up an appointment to make sure he isn't out skiing the day you want to go in.

Why, hello there... Self portrait during descent, September 2007

Yes, for an extra $30-35 Evolve will split size any shoe, but I've always had to finish the split sizing process direct through them, i.e. buy them to fit whichever foot you wish and then contact Evolve to mail them the bigger/smaller shoe and extra dough and they will send you the exchange.

I am checking in to both evolv and acopa, I am not sure if I can wait untill spring break for new shoes... that is a long time. Glad to hear there are companys who want to please thier customers, maybe it has something to do with the company size, Five Ten and LaSportiva being large...
