| I was planning on buying 5-6 cams and a second set of nuts for my trad rack. Many retailers are having a fall sale right now, but I was considering waiting until black friday if the gear is a little cheaper. Getting the gear cheap is more important to me than having it soon. What time of year have you found the best deals?

| It is really dependant on what you want. On BD cams, I haven't really seen anything better than 25% off at retailers, and those are few and far bewteen.
I'd wait until REI gives one of the 20% off coupons.
cams and stoppers are pretty much year round items. Buy clothing/seasonal gear off season.
Personally, I'd just scour the gear sites until you find a deal rather than wait for a specific time of year. The recession is hurting the gear industry and places are cutting pretty good deals.
Also, if you aren't opposed, check craigslist. Boulder always has some good deals.

| Gear Express has some decent prices on sets and Wilderness Exchange has some blems on and off. If you find a deal on line you can always call Bent Gate to see if they'll match. I've done that once or twice and have been really surprised at how much they have come down on price to match an on-line deal. | FLAG |

| REI actually has their 20% coupon out now. But that's only on one item. Backcountry.com is also running a 20% sale and that applies to your whole order (more or less). | FLAG |

| 25% off most new stuff is the best I've seen if you can wait. Rock and Snow is another good site for 25% off one item (i've bought WC Heliums and C4's) every week. It rotates but I've seen the good stuff come up more than once.
That being said, if you really need it, just find one of the usually floating 20% off coupons and jump on it. And I'd buy used nuts as long as you can give the cables a once over. Probably save some more money there too. | FLAG |

| Thanks for supporting one of our sponsors! Much appreciated.
Also remember if you see a great deal at one of the online places such as mgear, etc, print it out and take it into Bentgate and ask them to price match it for you. Price matching is one of their policies.
I'm not sure if Neptunes or Wildyx will do the same but no harm asking. | FLAG |

| I have found that spadout.com is a great place to find good deals online. They basically look at a ton of the online retailers and post their current sales on one website. But I will usually choose to spend a few dollars more and support the BG. They have a great staff and put on awesome community nights for those in the Golden area. | FLAG |

| Probably when you have the money would be the best time. | FLAG |

| Spadout.com is awesome. If you want to know when things are cheapest you can set price alerts for the items you want and when they drop it'll send you a notification automatically. Done annnd done. | FLAG |
