Anyone having problems with Fish products?

I have had some ordering problems with them. I ordered a double gear sling about 2 weeks ago and nothing yet. I just found out that they are out for most of the month. I think that supporting the small guys is important, but when the customer service is very poor I have no problems paying twice as much. Maybe it's an isolated incident.

Did you give him a due date and a drop dead date?

Have you contacted him?

Sometimes he gets backed up with orders, waiting for supplies, etc but if you give him a drop dead date he will make it.

I just received an order from Fish in the mail today. Email interactions with Russ were excellent and the order was filled as promised. I got an email notification when the package was shipped. I would do business with Fish again.

Sometimes he has quality control issues that delays getting the product out. Quite a while back (90's) I bought a haul bag and ledge from him and it took quite a while. I called and left a message and he got back to me pretty promptly letting me know that the corners for the ledge were milled incorrectly and needed to be sent back. I received my order not longer afterward and some free swag to boot.

No, its not isolated. Besides me being out of town, your order was delayed due to the fact we never got an order form form you, just a random paypal payment. Once we found out what you needed, I contacted you again via emailed to see if you had a trip planned or a drop dead date since this was not on your order form. You told me "no trips".

It is unfortunate that you consider this "very poor customer service". Refund on the way as requested.

I am not going to get in an argument, but the forms were sent and you stated that the item would be shipped last week. not acceptable!

Nope, never had a "problem". I've got nothing but overwhelming praise for the gear and their customer service. But I'm also clear about my needs.

Sounds like your problem is your own inability to articulate your needs (i.e. a drop-dead date) combined with the modern instant grafitication entitlement attitude.

I loved the Needles of the <br />Southern Sierra.  The route is Don Juan Wall 11b, this shot was taken by a hard woman just before my manly fall.

I got a buddy from the UK coming to climb Moab tomorrow; he ordered a haul bag from Fish and it got to my house a couple days later. No problems, great service.

Fish is the man , sorry you had a bad experience but from the look's
of things YOU dropped the ball eh Mr


I have had the pleasure to do business w/fish a couple of times and
Highly recommend his products all are well built and bomber ...


Maybe next time wait a bit/ get your fact's straight before you let your mouth overload your ass..

Easy does it there iceman, I love Russ as much as anyone. You need to watch it with the nasty remarks though. You can disagree without being disagreeable.
