This. You can be "cool" later on.

Bigger is better dude. If you go to a decent tattooer you won't have anything to regret. Get a topo of your favorite route covering your back, although the problem with back tattoos is you cant see them, and you have to be shirtless so other people can, and you know what they say about a climber who can't keep his shirt on....

Seriously though, some up close cam lobes or technical portrayal of a machined piece of gear is gonna be the most interesting over time.

A fully extended Linkcam would be a nice complex gear piece.

definitely do a full size rope coil backpack on your back with a few strands going over your shoulder and some tied off at your waist.

I got my first tattoo when I was 18 and never regretted it. Of course it is something that's near and dear to me. So if climbing fits the bill, go for it.

I almost convinced my climbing partner to get "5.9 offwidth R/X" tattooed over her ass. Everytime she ges a few beers in her, she decides again that she's definitely going to do it.

offwidth? dude, how big is her ass? might be better off tatting a valley giant between her cheeks peeking out......

But without insipid blather by literally a hand full of unemployed instigators these threads would become useful and coherent... and we can't have that...

This will take some work, but with your hand in a clinched fist, have the artist tattoo your outside index finger/thumb area to look like a cam. When you do a fist jam; it will look like a cam is placed. Do it to both hands for really bomber placements. Mike Belu
