| Here's a view of the sunrise my brother and I witnessed on Mount Kinabalu last May. The wind was whipping and the clouds were rolling over the canyons. | FLAG |

| What a fun topic! Life has led me to be a consistent dawn patroller which fortunately allows me many, many more sunrises than I thought I'd ever see. I love them more that sunsets because of the anticipation and growing of the day. I'm very fortunate to see the changes as the year progresses through our local mountains. Very fun stuff. Thanks for sharing your photos. | FLAG |

| Wow, nice sunrises! I wish I could get up that early; it seems the only way I could is to set at least 2 very loud alarms with no snooze capabilities, and no off switch- or even easier for me is to just stay up all night to see the sunrise. I'm jealous of all you alpine start people! Edit: I do have plenty of nice sunset pics though. : ) | FLAG |

| Bivied in NH's Presidential Range last night and woke up to find what you see below. First thought: "I'm reviving that MP thread." Second thought: "I'm fucking cold."

| Anyone know what this is called? (When you see the sun's image in the fog before it actually rises above the horizon?) I'm far too lazy to use Wikipedia on a Sunday.
