I'm currenty in La Paz but my climbing partner on my trip through South America has had something come up. Anyway I just thought I'd see if there was anyone out the in La Paz this next week or so who wanted to climb at Aranjuez; or Hatun Machay in a week or two or maybe even Colombia some time in July, I heard a lot about La Mojarra. I'm fairly flexible apart from two weeks or so in mid June when a friend is coming out to climb at Hatun Machay. I have shoes, harness, 60m rope and quickdraws.
Also does anyone have suggestions of other good spots in Colombia, Peru or even Equador (I heard of a place called Paute - I think) that they've been to an would recommend I looking to climb French 6s and low end 7s.
Hey there, I'm partner searching MountainProject on the request of a friend who is in currently in Peru (but with spotty internet connection/a less than functional iphone). He's looking for a climbing partner in/around Cusco or the Sacred Valley region in the next few days or in Rio June 7 - 14 if you're still looking to climb. He's looking to do sport climbing in the low 7 range. You can reach him directly at james.p.evans1@gmail.com for more direct information.
Sorry but I just arrived in Huaraz and will be heading to Hatun Machay tomorrow for most of the next 2 or 3 weeks. Hope your friend manages to find a climbing partner!
