Anyone know any existing routes near Jarbidge?

Good news, tons of volcanics, bad news all choss.I scoped a lot out 20+ years ago and spent 2 weeks in the area this fall. You might want to find some boaters for reports on the river canyons to the north.

Note: did not revisit the area near the town of jarbidge this fall but do not remember seeing anything great years ago when I was actively exploring northern nv for routes.

Stick to the rubies.....

Yeah, the Rubies look fantastic. Unfortunately, that's not where I drew. There is some steep rock where I'm going, I've seen it once. That's why I'm bringing gear. Just such a rare thing to find known routes so far from a freeway I thought I'd pose the question. Even in choss country there's bound to be something worth exploring.

I took these photos Sept of last year on the dirt road near Jarbidge. A 5 min stroll uphill gets you to the base. There was a lot of loose rock on the exterior but it appears it might clean up nicely. I didn't see any established routes. All the other rock I saw in the area was choss.

That looks promising. I'll be southeast. Not in Jarbidge proper. Also not really a climbing trip, just dragging a rope along.

Yea, you'd probably need to pull out the Bosch for this endeavor

Mostly looks like volcanic choss; but there maybe a route up there somewhere.
