I got a job offer in Parkersburg WV and am trying to make a decision. I typically train 3 days a week and climb outside 2 days a week, and I know that there isn't a climbing gym in Parkersburg. I boulder, sport climb, and will lead easy trad routes. Are there any local climbers in Parkersburg?!

As far as a gym, closest is the energy gym in charleston or hocking college in oh to the best of my knowledge. There a few decent walls around the area and some sweet bouldering in athens. As far as this shitty weather goes however sucks for areas with no indoor climbing, without driving atleast a half hour. Id like to know if anyone knows of any other indoor climbing close to p-burg

There is also an indoor wall at the college in Marietta OH.

Outdoors, North Bend State Park has several routes. Most are TR, but there are a few sport and trad routes and lots of bouldering opportunities. There is also Sunshine Wall just outside of Ellenboro. It is a road cut wall and relatively short, but facing directly into the sun, feels good on a cold winter day. Both North Bend and Sunshine wall are about half hour to 45 min away from Parkersburg.
