| Hello All, First trip to COR and CR and planning on two weeks in early June. Flying-in to SLC from the North-East. Just wondering about the weather and what can be expected during this time period. Any beta on camping, route suggestions for up to 5.11 sport/trad and any off-day suggestions. Any idea regarding popularity during this time period. Thanks, AB | FLAG |

| OAKLEY, IDAHO (106542) Period of Record Monthly Climate Summary Period of Record : 1/ 1/1914 to 12/31/2005 June Average Max. Temperature (F) 77.2 Average Min. Temperature (F) 47.1 Average Total Precipitation (in.) 1.21 Average Total SnowFall (in.) 0.0 Average Snow Depth (in.) 0 Early June tends to be a little wetter and cooler than the averages above. Not uncommon that it snows in June. If you want to camp in the park, get your reservations soon. It tends to book up fairly quickly especially for weekends at Memorial Day and on. Route suggestions: surf the database here on the 'proj. Or, look up the older thread on the route recommendations. Tends to be popular from around mid to late April (weather dependant) through September on the weekends especially. Great time to climb at the City/Castle! | FLAG |

| It's pretty glorious about then. Usually. As always, you are in a mountain environment. Bring some cold protection. Uh, duh? Hi, Brian! Hope to see ya & climb in the City this year. Brian is right that you might want to book a spot REAL soon. They fill up in a hurry. | FLAG |

| Man, we wander all over Hell out there. That place is primo for it. Prime sculpted granite, etched by a billion years of wind. Gotta love it. | FLAG |

| What's available locally if your not climbing? Durfee Hot Springs of course! "The Outpost" has great food, and "Rock City" has the biggest selection of Spirits for miles. "Albion Cafe" has good food too. Aside from eating, drinking, and soaking, bring a book, set up a slack line, or hike to the top of Cache Peak. Drop me a line when the date gets closer. I live 30 minutes North of the City. I was cragging the other day. It was nice, not another person for miles. And yes "Beware of Soaring Ego's" is about the wildest line I've climbed. I can give you some beta on free camping that is close to the rocks. Kevin | FLAG |

| Transformer corridor, all of it!, tribal boundaries, beware of nesting ego, terror in tiny town. colossus, interceptor, the awakening bloody fingers, drilling fields. southern rock opera, splitter and women semi finals at CR. look at weather.gov and use Almo for your closest town, not oakley. While it probably wont, dont be surprised if it does snow. bring the appropriate gear, just in case. def hit up the hot springs and rock city. and if your on a rest day, just go hike around, it is beautiful there. enjoy. | FLAG |

| Love this place. Thin Slice, Cairo, Spud Meets Hammerhead, Colossus, Heat Wave, Gemini, Tribal Boundaries, Smoke Signal, Firewater, and all the easier classics (Rye Crisp, Wheat Thin, Skyline, Bat Wings, Columbian Crack). Free camping is really close to town. PM me if you want directions. | FLAG |
