Chopped belay bolts at Jailhouse?

I was out at Jailhouse last Friday (11/15/13) and noticed that the welded cold shuts at the base of both CB6, and CB8 have been removed. Maybe I missed them, but I've never had a problem finding them before. These bolts, although not absolutely necessary, did protect against a swing into CB9.
As a smaller climber (usually under 150 lbs) I can tell you the swing into that corner sucks. At best it beats up a rope, possibly dragging it through a prickly pear cactus. At worst a climber or belayer can cream a belayer on CB9, possibly even pulling a leader off.
I guess it's not a huge issue, but neither was their existence for the past 14 or so years. Just curious if anyone has any insight into this issue.
Thanks in advance, and climb safe out there.
