There will be a climbing festival in Liming China Oct 26th-28th. I'm planning on spending Oct 15th through early December in China climbing (trips to Liming, Getu and YangShuo) and visiting friends in Kunming. Planning on bringing a triple rack of cams for Liming; if you don't know about this place, imagine Indian Creek quality splitters. Curious if any MP'ers will be in the area.

I live in China so I should try to get over there. My buddy has been raving about Liming for a couple years. I need to get to Yangshuo this fall as well.

Just bought my flight. I'll be flying in to Hong Kong on Oct 11th, waiting for a Chinese visa for up to a week. I'll be climbing in Hong Kong for that period. I'm hoping to check out Getu Valley after that for a week. I'll be at Liming on Oct 25th for the festival, then climbing as many splitters as possible for two - three weeks. I'll finish the trip off with either another stop in Getu or a week in Yangshuo before I fly out of Hong Kong Nov 20th, in time to spend thanksgiving in Indian Creek. I'd be great to meet up with some MPers out there!

Hey Brandon, If you are visiting friends in Kunming then I hope you are also climbing there. The cave just out of the city is awesome. I live in Kunming and will be headed to the Liming Festival as well so if you want to meet up Ill show you the local crags. Ive climbed in Getu and Yangshuo and the quality of the Kunming routes are the same and we can climb all year round.
Cheers Ryan
