Dave Stephens sampling Chicken Spread

Start just left of the 8 foot tall granite spire near the middle of the wall.

One of the most infamous sandbags in Spokane. The climbing is good, but it may feel hard for 5.9.

The crux is about 1/2 way up the wall, before you go over the lip.

Bring your garden shears, to get to the anchors you have to climb over a rose bush. Don't whip on the last bit or you will have the afore mentioned rose bush giving you an enema.

Bolts, a bunch of them.

Just a heads up, someone chopped down the rosebush, as of 11/15/08, but now the 'small trickle' of water to the right of the route has grown and the crux is pretty wet and slimy.

The crux is no longer slimy- nice and dry.
