Description

A really small cave crag with cool, fun climbing! This is the ultimate drive up experience. If you like the comforts of urban life at the crag this place is for you. If you want to be alone in the solace of the wilderness, you probably won't like this area. There are roofed picnic tables, lot's of parking, and even air-conditioned bathrooms! It's tiny, so expect it to feel crowded if anyone else is there, (and people will be there on weekends)

Getting There

3 kilometers southeast of Miwon, which is about 20 kilometers east of Cheongju. Go southeast for 3 kilometers on highway 19. You will see a sign that says Cheong Seok Gul (Cheong Seok Cave) where you take a left. Drive down the tiny road unitl it ends at the crag. You could get a taxi to the crag from Miwon.

Mona Lisa 5.12a  International : Asia : ... : Cheong Seok Gul
Start in the middle of the cave. Move through the really over hanging first 15 feet on slopey jugs and an incut crimps. Then keep heading through the 30-degree overhanging remainder on crimps, sidpulls, and directional blocky holds, and have fun! This route would be classic anywhere. Completely like a short Rifle climb....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
