The crux is just pulling off the ground. You start with left hand on a slippery quartz hold and right hand on a good crimp. Heel hook with your left leg around the arĂȘte, pull up, and reach up to good but sharp crimp. Then just work you way up the arĂȘte using good holds to a good topout....[more]   Browse More Classics in MA

Fun spot if you're in the area, but probably wouldn't drive too far to get there. The rock is limestone if you haven't guessed and makes some neat features. Most of the routs are slightly overhanging except for the wall that splits the two sides of the quarry which is a rad slab. It's a small area, but there is something for everyone.

Good little area. Don't go out of your way to get here but worth a stop if you're close by. It's also only a one minute walk from the parking lot.

I would agree don't travel far for this, but I hiked right past the main spot on our way in, didn't even find it till the way out. Found two nice little caves (which need much more cleaning) but was well worth it. If you look at the trail map, they have two mines marked out, and there is little paths connecting all of the holes.
