DescriptionThe Chamber of Secrets is located just south of the Sorcerer's Stone (aka BLM highpoint, aka pole cat rock). Most routes are on the west face where some excellent trad can be found. Getting ThereIf approaching from castle creek, continue 150 yards past the jug wall through a 10-20' wide gulley. If approaching from Castle rock, take the Johnson Creek trail and head up toward the tower just S of the BLM highpoint. 30 min. from parking lot. Lots of hard climbing. Follow the nice diagonalling hand crack on the west face that starts about 60' right of 'iron cross'. Move toward a roof just to the right of the arete and step down and join 'iron cross'. The step across places you several feet above a blue/green alien size piece - hence the pg-13 rating.
