chalk bag makers probably make a killing off the sloth.

A Blank sloth attack- well done! That's so funny.

I don't mean to come off as a purist here cause I've drilled hundreds of bolts (99% for rapping off routes), but climbing with chalk, what of it... it's to me like you're flicking your butts and littering your orange peels- only you make it obvious where to go, and make it especially slimy to hold on.

But everyone does it? Errr. A futile wish, but I do think it would be a better climbing world if people didn't use chalk.

you're just being a handist. those that have clam hands like one of my friends, clam hands mcgee can't climb without chalk. other activities are more fun for him however.

don't be a handist, and explain yourself. are you offended by tick marks? routes that look like bird poopy?

i'm a nightmare walkin'
psychopath chalkin'

can't remember what song that's from though.

i've also heard the term 'east coast chalker', which i didn't fully comprehend until i did some climbing on the east coast.

a 'handist', nahhh. I haven't dipped to chalk in more that twenty years. I just want the people who do to realize that they are littering.

I still don't understand why they don't dye chalk brown or some neutral color? I'd spend an extra dollar per ball or whatever to not make it look and feel bird-poopy. I'm with ya Ryan

They do , heard the additives actually made it actually worse for the rock, both in feel (1st hand experience it does suck) and "littering"

I can understand being mad at overchalkers, hate those guys too, but just using enough and brushing off excess is the way to go in my mind.

Chalk is new to me. I've used chalk 12 times so far in a period of 3 months. Each time I dipped 10-12 shots of chalk, then I made myself wash it off because I felt so sick. Also, every time I promised myself not to use it, I did it anyway. The last time I used was 3 weeks a go. I'm really scared, because I might not resist chalk in the future. The first time I used chalk was in Miami, and now I feel like I wanna recreate the memory. Even though it wasn't a very pleasant experience; I woke up naked in the bath tub and vomited all over the place. I don't want to use it, but I'm really tempted to.

If admitting my problem you means that people who use chalk are littering all over the crags, you are right, Dave.

I don't use the stuff my hands don't seem to sweat while climbing.

It is a bit annoying to have the holds laid out like a gym because of over chalking.

every time I chalk up I'm good for a few minutes, but quickly start to realize it's going to wear off soon, and I start thinking about how to get that next dip. Will I have to talk to that annoying dip-shit with the massive chalk bucket? Probably, but I'll still do it.

chalk on hands not on rock.

people who powder the holds with their chalk balls and draw inch wide tick marks should be shot.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
