Just a guess but I don't think that's a recent photo. It might be from Nazir's 1981 ascent of K2. Have a look at page 4 of Nazir's pdf brochure. Other photos on that page crop up elsewhere on Nazir's web site and they're labeled as being from that climb. The jackets seem to be the same. |

"Camp II (6600m) on the 1981 first ascent of [K2's] West Ridge. Nazir Sabir collection".Thanks That makes more sense. |
